Wedding Program

01110119Wedding programs are not for everyone.  Don’t feel that you must include them in your wedding.  They are an extra cost and can be one more thing that must be done to add to your stress level.  That said, they can also be a nice touch to your nuptials.  You can include everyone in a program and your guests are able to preview the ceremony that is to come.  It is a little gesture that can put a smile on the face of your loved ones, and is a great way to acknowledge them and what they have done for you.

For instance, if someone makes your center pieces or your wedding veil you can give them credit.  It may sound silly or trivial, but to see that you’ve been acknowledged goes a long way.  You can also take the time to thank parents, loved ones and even honor those who have passed.  You are also creating a wonderful keepsake in the process.  I’ve seen the beginning or endings of programs filled with words for loved ones, and it can be really touching.

Microsoft has a few free templates you can download here.  Not a lot, but if you are looking for something inexpensive and easy it might be the way to go.  You can also order software for about 30$ from The Knot Wedding Shop.  They have some great program ideas available and lots of great wedding graphics that you could also use for other items, like place cards and menus, so you’d really get your money’s worth.
