Wedding Program - Examples

So you have decided that you want to add a wedding program. Now you have to decide what kind of wedding program will work best for you. You also need to decide if you are going to have them printed for you or if you will make them yourself.

Lets start with the type of program you want to design. The most popular type are half-fold, followed by tea length. An example of half-fold is the picture above, although the exact size of paper used can vary. These types of program can be a little easier to read and give you more space to write.

Here is a tea length program. You can fold the paper into thirds or use individual sheets of paper in this size. These are a great choice, but you are a little more limited in what you can put in it.
If you don’t want a traditional program, you can use your imagination and come up with some really cool ideas. This is one of my favorites and gives you ideas for other types, like carnival tickets or sports event tickets. Actually anything that involves a ticket that fits your personality can be used. You can then carry the theme through the wedding. Have your place cards match or incorporate your favors as well.

Obviously it’s much easier to just find a company (you can find great sales at The Knot Wedding Shop), but it can get to be expensive if you are not careful. If your budget is a little tight (mine sure was), a little effort can make all the difference.
First check out party stores, craft stores and places like Walmart and Target. Make sure you check out the scrapbooking sections as well as the bridal areas. You can find some great ideas in the scrapbook section. Just remember to keep your eye on your budget, some of the items can get very pricey. If you don’t keep that in mind, you could end up spending more then if you just had a company do it for you.
