Wedding Favor Ideas - part 2

I’m a big fan of the smaller items on the tables.  Guests seem to really like them and will actually use them if you choose the right ones.  You can pick up nice inexpensive ones at many online stores like MyWeddingFavors.com and The Knot Wedding Shop. If you are having a wedding where you don’t want those types of items on the tables you can leave them at the bar where your guests can pick them up.  After a while word will spread about where to find the goodies.

I have also been to weddings where they have given one favor per couple (with the single people getting their own).  This is a great alternative if you find an item that is rather pricey, can’t afford one per guest and really want the item.  The wine glasses I love were a couples gift.  As a rule I don’t usually love this idea, but there are always exceptions and this is one of them.

You can have a lot of fun with your favors at a theme wedding as well.  The Halloween wedding we were at had glass vases as the centerpieces filled with candy.  The kids at the wedding then went trick or treating at each table.  There was candy for the adults as well.  Candles are always a nice favor as well and can easily be incorporated into any style.

An example of what I am talking about could be that you want to give a more traditional gift and find a really nice crystal dish to give as your favor.  You can do some beautiful wrapping to match your wedding decor.  If you want other items to0, you can buy some candy or tea bags
that are personalized and scatter them on the tables for your guests to take home.

Don’t spend money on more expensive items that you personalize as they really can be a waste.  For instance I have been given a small trinket box that has the couples names and wedding date engraved on it.  While it’s a nice thought, their wedding date wasn’t as important to me as it is to them.  So it sat on my dresser at first, then moved to the closet until it finally found it’s way to the garbage.  Had it not been personalized I would probably have used it much longer.
