Wedding Cake Topper

Choosing your wedding cake topper is a lot of fun. It is one of the few things associated with your wedding that you will not only be able to keep forever, but can display somewhere in your home. You can put it out it in many places, a curio cabinet, on a shelf or even just on a dresser. It is a nice reminder of the wonderful night you had at your wedding.

My hubby and I love Disney. It was easy for us to chose Mickey and Minnie as our cake topper. I keep it in my curio cabinet and it really is nice to be able to catch a glimpse of it every now and then and remember.

There are lots of choices for what you can pick, and they go way beyond the standard figures you usually see. There are lots of traditional choices to be had. The formal bride and groom are a great choice, but there are many more.

p911_sh You don’t need to just keep to items called cake toppers either. Pretty much anything can be used to top your cake. Snow globes are a great alternative, you can even have them engraved which is a great personal touch. Initials are also becoming a popular alternative as well. You can also look into all different types of collectibles. Lladro, snow-babies, Disney, Swarovski crystal, what ever you are into. They all have many items that you could use atop your cake. There are even music boxes that would be appropriate. As always, if you are on a budget keep that in mind while you are looking. A $20 topper will have as much sentimental value as a $200 collectible figurine.

With all the great cake designs they have out there now you don’t even need to get a topper. However, I do recommend you look into getting one. After your wedding is all over, you will be very glad to have it.
